Ewa Beach, HI Home

There is no place like home, esp. when the house is located in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. There is so much truth to this statement. So when a family member asked if I wanted to design their home, I was more than happy to do it. No pressure, right? We began with a very humble home(see image above) , a 1-story post-beam and T&G house and ended up with a 2-story structure with a carport. Simplicity and subtle elegance by creating a simple front facade and creating lots of shadow and texture on the sides and rear of the property. But I feel the most important thing that makes a place stand out is the details. They say "God is in the details." This project was by far a great way of making an excuse to visit the islands and my family. You can view more pics of the project by clicking here

About Me

My photo
San Francisco, Bay Area, United States
Since 1990, I have been immersed in the architectural world of drawing and building. So far, I have worked on all types of projects including residential, funerary, hospitality, and commercial. I work both in pencil and through the computer. I favor modern design and experimental works that engage the public to question the world they live in. I insist on developing a new language of architecture for a younger generation to mold and reconstruct.
